Nat Cassidy

NAT CASSIDY writes for the page, stage, and screen. His critically-acclaimed, award-winning plays have been produced across the United States, as well as Off- and Off-Off-Broadway. He won the NY Innovative Theatre Award for his one-man show about H. P. Lovecraft and also for his "metaphysical buddy comedy" about an unlikely friendship between Christopher Marlowe and Caligula. Nat was commissioned by the Kennedy Center to write the libretto for a new short opera and, for the past three years, he was the scriptwriter for Shakespeare Theatre of DC's annual WILL ON THE HILL event, a comedy fundraiser about Shakespeare and politics featuring a star-studded cast of journalists, members of Congress, ambassadors, and veteran actors, where his scripts helped raise over a million dollars for arts education.

An established actor on stage and television (usually playing monsters and villains on shows such as Blue Bloods, Bull, Quantico, FBI, Law & Order: SVU), Nat is also a member of the audiodrama production company, Gideon Media, which produced hit sci-fi podcasts such as Steal the Stars and Give Me Away, as well as the authorized audiodrama adaptations of Wallace Shawn's The Designated Mourner and Grasses of a Thousand Colors. Nat authored the novelization of Steal the Stars, published by Tor Books and named one of the best books of 2017 by NPR. His horror novel debut, titled Mary: An Awakening of Terror, was published by Tor Nightfire on July 19, 2022, with a second original horror novel on the way in 2023.
